COROMEGA

Coromega is a natural source of concentrated Omega-3 Fatty Acids from pharmaceutical grade fish oil ~ impurities, such as mercury and PCB’s, have been removed through a series of sophisticated processes, including molecular distillation. Each packet delivers 650 mg of total Omega-3 Fatty Acids, including 230 mg of DHA and 350 mg of EPA.

It has a natural orange flavor, with the taste and texture of creamy orange pudding. It has absolutely no fishy smell, taste or “fishy burps” after. Coromega can be safely taken on an empty stomach or with food. It is readily absorbed in the body. In a published study, Coromega was found to be twice as bio available as a popular fish oil brand in capsule form at equivalent dosages.

This exclusive formula contains Vitamins C and E with no sugar or artificial sweeteners, no dairy, yeast, starch, wheat or gluten. It has a two-year shelf life.

It is taken just once a day and comes in daily dose packets that you just squeeze onto your tongue. The pudding-like product tastes good and can be mixed with your favorite food or taken as is. Other company’s fish oils in capsules usually require two capsules, three times a day with food.

Omega-3 is the healthy fat! EPA and DHA in fish oils reduce the incidence of: heart disease; arthritis; atherosclerosis; heart attack; depression and cancer. Clinical trials have shown that fish oil supplementation is effective in the treatment of many disorders including rheumatoid arthritis; diabetes; ulcerative colitis and Raynaud’s disease. The total daily intake that is recommended by a worldwide group of Essential Fatty Acid experts is 650 mg of Omega-3 EFA’s ~ at least 220 mg EPA and 220 mg DHA.

An enormous amount of medical literature testifies to the fact that fish oils prevent and may help to ameliorate or reverse atherosclerosis, angina, heart attack, congestive failure, arrhythmia, stroke and peripheral vascular disease. Fish oils help maintain the elasticity of artery walls, preventing blood clotting, reduce blood pressure and stabilize heart rhythm.

Bypass surgery and angioplasty patients reportedly also benefit from fish oils. Fish oils are safe for heart disease patients. Fish oils are especially important for diabetics who have an increased risk of heart disease. For arthritis: some studies have also noted a decrease in morning stiffness and at least two clinical trials concluded that arthritis patients who took fish oils could eliminate or sharply reduce their use of NSAID’s and other arthritis drugs.

The human brain is one of the largest “consumers” of DHA. Low DHA levels have been linked to low brain seratonin levels which are connected to an increased tendency to depression, suicide and violence. A high intake of fish has been linked to a significant decrease in age-related memory loss and cognitive function impairment and a lower risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.

There is considerable evidence that fish oil consumption can delay or reduce tumor development in breast cancer. Studies have also shown that a high level of Omega-3 EFA’s combined with a low level of Omega-6 EFA’s reduces the risk of developing breast cancer. The main source of Omega-6 EFA’s are vegetable oils such as corn oil and soybean oil which contain a high proportion of linoleic acid. Omega-3 EFA’s are found in walnut oil, marine plankton, fatty fish and flaxseed oil.

Several clinical trials have concluded that hyperactive children have low blood levels of DHA. A very recent study found that children with dyslexia, a closely related condition, also have low levels of DHA and that their condition improved by supplementing with fish oil.

Diabetics are prone to heart disease, hypertension and obesity. Daily fish oil supplementation can help in preventing the development of these disorders. Fish oils are particularly effective in lowering blood levels of triglycerides and very-low-density cholesterol without affecting the all-important ratio between “good” HDL and “bad” LDL cholesterols. Some Norwegian researchers recommend that diabetes patients eat fish two or three times a week or supplement with 2-3 grams of high quality fish oils daily.

During pregnancy the mother must supply all the baby’s needs for DHA and EPA because the baby is unable to synthesize these essential fatty acids itself. DHA makes up fifteen to twenty percent of the brain cerebral cortex and thirty to sixty percent of the retina in the eye, so DHA is absolutely necessary for normal development of the fetus, baby and small children.
