From my earliest memories, flowers and herbs were part of my life. I grew up in a small city in Central Canada and visited Los Angeles every summer to visit my wonderful Grandpa. This coupled with the event of a gift from my mother was the spawning of a lifelong adventure with wonderful smelling plants.
Mom had given me a little wicker ornament filled with a potpourri of lavender to hang in my closet to freshen my clothes. Little did she know that I would daily take it from my closet to play with it and scent my whole bedroom or just inhale the marvelous fragrance. Plus, Mom was always growing violets and other flowers on the windowsill. My Dad always had a tasty vegetable garden growing just outside our home and I would help him with the tomatoes, peas and wonderful herbs that he grew. When summertime came I would visit my Grandpa and he would teach me lessons in creating the most beautiful camellia flowers and learning the art of respecting Nature’s bounty.
Grandpa taught me that everything had energy. It was natural that I would get top marks for a seed and flower collection in Grade School. It was my joy to do and I could not believe how the other students were complaining about the projects. Plants were everywhere in my life.
When I was younger there were few reputable local schools to study the subjects of holistic health or herbalism, so I took little classes wherever they presented themselves. It did not appeal to me to take correspondence classes where it would be many days of letter writing or expensive phone calls before my numerous eager questions were finally answered. By then I would have lost the fervor of my questions. Many taught by their own rules or systems that did not seem to allow for the variations of other systems.
Today we are finding more and more schools that are promoting the fact that “allopathic” medicine is limited and “not all there is” to healing. Theses institutions teach that the truths of the Ancients come full circle to North America to complete the energetic circle of healing.
My various studies included herbology, aromatherapy and essential oils from around the world, nutritional consulting, psychology, color therapy, energy healing from the Chakras to radionics… and eventually I became a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner. I practice the threefold system of naturopathy: body, mind and spirit.
My standards are high because I use the products and services for myself and my family and friends. Nothing but the best is good enough for those I love. When I find products that are better than the ones I currently have, I replace them for the higher quality ones. I keep a strict eye on quality control, making sure the environment and indigenous countries are not endangered in the process. I have written an article entitled Eight Principles of Optimal Living that I gleaned from my years of consultations. I discovered that virtually everyone’s problems stemmed from a lack or a wrong-thinking in one or more of the eight areas. If you incorporate the truths from these eight principles, your life will be healthier, too. Although I would love you to purchase the products from my web site, I present all the ingredient information so that you may shop wherever you’d like and make up your own combinations of products. It is usually less expensive and better quality to stick with those I present as I have done all the research for you and I continually update this site with new information, products and services.
